A man was critically injured in an incident that started with an argument over beer.

It happened just after 10:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Jones Valley Campground in Shasta County.  Deputies found a man with three stab wounds to his upper torso.

Deputies said victim was extremely intoxicated and said he had been fighting with two other campground guests over beer.  

The victim, whose name was not released, was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Deputies later found 39-year-old Manuel Siaz in a nearby campsite.  
Siaz was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon.
