CHICO, Calif. -

Chico Police are looking for two suspects in an apparent Craigslist robbery in which the victim was stabbed.

It happened Thursday at 11:43 at the Valero gas station at8th and Barlett Streets.    

The 21-year-old victim reported that he had placed an ad on Craigslist indicating that he was interested in buying a car and that he had cash available.  A subject responded and stated that he had a car for sale. He agreed to meet the victim at the Valero station on East 8th Street in Chico. 

The victim drove to the location in a relative’s vehicle. The two suspects arrived and the primary suspect joined the victim in his vehicle to discuss the possible transaction. 

During the discussion, the suspect produced a knife and demanded the victim’s money. The Victim struggled and was cut on the hand in the process. The suspect was able to grab the victim’s cash. 

The suspect got back into his own vehicle and fled the area. The passenger in the right front seat of the suspect’s vehicle was brandishing a handgun during the incident. 

Police have so far been unable to locate the suspects. They are described as two hispanic male adults, both approximately 25 years old. 

The primary suspect was 6’3” and carrying a knife. The second suspect, height unknown had a mohawk style haircut and was armed with a handgun. They were driving a gold Buick, possibly a Buick LeSabre.
