NORTHSTATE, Calif. -

Northstate communities are hosting Halloween celebrations.

In Chico, downtown businesses are holding Treat Street.  From 2-5 pm, downtown merchants will offer treats for costumed children ages 12 and under.  Pick up the event program in city plaza.  Look for special "treats here" posters in the windows of participating businesses.

In Redding, there will be halloween fun at the Mt. Shasta Mall.   The mall hosts a costume contest and trick-or-treating for kids.  The costume contest starts at 5 p.m. in the mall's food court.  Trick-or-treating at the mall's stores begins at 5:30 p.m.

In Red Bluff businesses will host the annual Treat Street downtown.  More than 30 businesses will hand out treats to costumed kids from 2-5 p.m.
