RED BLUFF, Calif. - Folks in Redding and Chico will be enjoying fireworks shows to celebrate the 4th of July. But in parts of Tehama and Glenn counties, where enjoying your own fireworks is legal, vendors were busy.
A fireworks stand in Red Bluff at the Walmart parking lot had people lined up.
Domenick Valenzia was in line and said he could not wait to purchase his fireworks.
"I just like it how it explodes and how they light up the sky and stuff, it looks so cool," he said.
Judy Mandelfo has worked the fireworks stand for six years and said sales have been pretty steady.
"Try to make some good deals and really encourage people to be safe and encourage them to read the fliers from the fire department," said Mandelfo.
And In Hamilton City in Glenn County people also lined up. The hot, dry weather might bring some concern for some but for the most part people said they are confident that people will follow the rules in using "safe and sane" fireworks.
"It's really hot and people are aware," Mandelfo said. "I think they're pretty aware that the weather is dry and to be safe."
Everyone said they had one goal, which was to enjoy Independence Day.
"To enjoy America," Mandelfo said.
