Thousands lose power in Red Bluff, Chico

NORTHSTATE, Calif. - According to PG&E, more than 3875 customers are without power in Red Bluff and Chico. 

In Red Bluff, a power outage struck in the northern part of the city, leaving 1,525 customers without power initially. As of 5 p.m., only 358 customers were still without power. 

In Chico, two outages left 2,352 customers without power. More than 2,000 of those without power are in the west side of town starting at Highway 32. Before 4:45 p.m. those customer's had their power restored. 

There are 131 others without power in the area of Sierra View Elementary School. 

PG&E crews are still investigating the cause for the outages.
