Officer-involved shooting in Trinity County

MAD RIVER, Calif. -

The Trinity County Sheriff's Office has released that officers shot an armed individual in Mad River on Thursday.

The sheriff's office said they were called at around 10:12 a.m., they received reports of shots being fired on Highway 36 in Mad River. When the deputies and allied agencies responded to the area, the sheriff's office said they were confronted with an armed individual who they subsequently shot.
