RED BLUFF, Calif. -

A man was arrested in Red Bluff after police said he followed a city employee as she was leaving the police department.     The employee said she feared for her safety

The incident happened at 10:20 p.m. Sunday at the Red Bluff Police & Fire Department at 555 Washington Street.

As police exited the building they were confronted by 57-year-old David White who was holding a knife.

Police said White complied with officers' commands to drop the knife, but he resisted momentarily as officers detained him.

He was arrested for possession of a dangerous weapon, drug paraphernalia and being under the influence of a controlled substance.
