REDDING, Calif. -

Redding Police are searching for a suspect who broke into a Rite Aid pharmacy Friday morning.

It happened around 6:45 a.m. at the Rite Aid at 6424 Westside Road in Redding.

Police said a landscaping crew saw a man break through the front window and enter the store.

The landscapers took action, stacking bags of potting soil in front of the broken window to block it and keep the man from coming out.

When the suspect noticed the window was blocked, he escaped out the back door.

Investigators will review surveillance video to determine exactly what was stolen and to get a description of the suspect.
