RED BLUFF, Calif. -

A Red Bluff family is celebrating their-six-year-old Cardigan Welsh Corgi, “Coco” after winning best of breed for the second year in a row at the prestigious Westminster Kennel Club Show in New York.

Julie Divens, owner of Coco, said she has not seen Coco since January of 2012 due to the fact that she has been competing all over the world.

Coco was discovered by a handler and even though she’s only been competing for two years, she comes from a line of champions. Her mother, Lola is now retired but is a grand-champion.

“I didn't think we had a chance in heck. They split the group in half because it was so huge,” said Divens. “That’s when I really had the idea that we had such a big shot and I didn't even know we actually won until I looked at the streaming video then I just started screaming."

Diven’s said she does not know the exact date Coco will return home. Once she does the owners plan on breeding Coco and retiring her.
