REDDING, Calif. -

Parking fee changes are coming to the Redding Municipal Airport.

The Redding City Council unanimously approved a proposal to raise rates during Tuesday night's meeting.

Starting November 1st, Republic Parking will regulate a fully attended parking lot without any cashiers.

Instead of cashiers, there will be pay stations with a parking stall number.

Rates will jump from $7.00 to $8.00 per day.

However, the first four hours of parking will be free.

Airport Manager, Rod Dinger told KRCR News Channel 7 the rate hike is for lack of passengers.

Dinger said revenue in 2012 was only $35,000.
