A young woman’s act of gratitude starts a "pay it forward" trend, 67 customers long at Starbucks.
It started around 7:30 a.m. at the Starbucks in the Placer Heights shopping area.
Tiffany Brown was working the window when it started.
“She was talking about [how] it was going to be a beautiful day and she just wanted to see everyone smile,” Brown said. “She just wanted everyone to have a happy and great day.”
Her random act of kindness didn’t just put a smile on the faces of drive-through customers; she got the whole Starbucks crew celebrating a happy Monday.
“Life is an echo, so even when we’re super busy, I make a point to tell every person this,” said Starbucks Barista Dre Johnson. “It’s really great to echo goodness, and that they’re doing that, because it always comes back to you.”

67 customers later, it wasn’t a bad attitude that killed the kindness, according to Starbucks Barista Heidi Loftus.
“Our peak ended, so we ran out of cars.”
