PARADISE, Calif. -

The long-awaited construction on Skyway in downtown Paradise will begin Monday.  Construction crews will be working on sidewalks, signals, and reducing the road from four lanes, to two lanes with a center turn lane.  The work will be done between Pearson and Elliot Roads.

The road construction is expected to last about two months.

During daytime hours, the crews will work on concrete improvements and projects off the road.  Traffic delays are not anticipated.

At night, crews will be re-striping, paving, and working on signals.  Between 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., motorists can expect minor delays through the project area.

The outside lanes of Skyway will become right turn only lanes approaching the construction zone.
