Air Force monument to move to Veterans Cemetery

Official dedication scheduled Saturday

REDDING, Calif. - At approximately 10 a.m. Wednesday, the U.S. Air Force monument will be moved from Eagle Iron Works in Anderson to the Northern California Veterans Cemetery in Igo.

The monument is being prepared for its formal dedication on Veterans Day, November 11. A short dedication ceremony is planned to follow the Veterans Day program, which begins at 11 a.m.

The monument will be transported by a Missing in America Project escort. It will travel north on Highway 273 to Clear Creek Road, then west on Clear Creek Road to Gas Point Road and south on Gas Point Road to the cemetery.

Traffic could be delayed by the travel. The monument is expected to arrive at approximately 10:30 a.m.
