Air Quality and Public Health officials issue warning due to wildfire smoke

Warnings issued in Shasta and Tehama County

SHASTA COUNTY, Calif. - Air Quality and Public Health officials in Shasta and Tehama Counties are advising all residents to limit outdoor activities due to the presence of wildfire smoke. 

All members of the public, especially those with respiratory or heart disease, the elderly, pregnant women, and children should avoid all outdoor exertion. Everyone else should limit prolonged exertion in areas of noticeable smoke accumulation. 

While all people may experience varying degrees of symptoms, the more sensitive individuals are at greatest risk at experiencing more aggravated symptoms which may include, but are not limited to coughing, scratchy throat, watery and itchy eyes, and difficulty breathing.
