Asphalt Cowboys' loot found, Lone Strangers identified

Friday morning the rodeo prizes were awarded

REDDING, Calif. - The Asphalt Cowboys' loot has been found and the mock bank robbers have been found in Redding.

Friday morning the loot was found by Mark Shaw of Redding. It was located at the Marine Stage in Caldwell Park. It was reported that the loot was taped underneath a metal table in the area.

The Lone Strangers and Sidekick have also been identified as Bruce Middleton and David Kehoe.  Bruce is Co-Owner of House of Realty and President of the Shasta Association of Realtors.  County Supervisor and former Mayor David Kehoe was the Sidekick.

Rodeo Week in Redding kicked off with a mock bank robbery Monday at the Cornerstone Bank on Cypress Avenue.

Each day, the group released a set of clues to help identify the strangers and the loot.

CLUES FOR THE STRANGERS:

Monday:

The Lone Stranger and Sidekick
escaped to the hills,
One after the other
To count those new bills.

Tuesday:

The law on their tail,
couldn't take them down.
They ran past the Cowboys,
from the center of town;

Wednesday:

Who knows where they landed,
or elected to go;
if they're out in the woods,
Or at the Rodeo

Thursday:

We looked under the boards,
searched the house and grounds;
That loot for all we know,
weighed a thousand pounds.

Friday:

Starting in the middle,
Is truly the Key;
I'd check every pub and grill,
Serving Shasta County

CLUES FOR THE LOOT:

Monday:

The Loot's been hidden,
where trees abound;
Neither hung nor buried,
Seek until found.

Tuesday:

The sounds of the water,
lead the robbers here;
Ride they did,
'til the coast was clear.

Wednesday:

After fleeing in a thing,
they hid their precious treasure;
then heard a noise above,
while others took measure.

Thursday:

These pillars robbed a bank,
and left loot there too;
in a Marine setting,
there's so much to do.

Friday:

The bandits were dining,
Perhaps on a break;
Covered while waiting,
for a fine Cowboy steak
