CAL FIRE: Crews responding to vegetation fire near Big Bend

CAL FIRE crews are being flown in to fight a vegetation fire burning in a rural area near Big Bend. 

Officials said the fire has burned 80 acres as of 6:00 p.m. Tuesday in steep in-accessible terrain. No threats to structures have been reported and no evacuations have been issued. 

The fire is being called the Lightning Fire 1.6 and is 0 percent contained. 

Officials said the fire is moving at a slow rate of spread and is burning within the 2009 Chalk Fire Burn.
