REDDING, Calif. - A concrete truck overturned while doing work in southeast Redding this morning.
Officers with the CHP said the driver of the truck, owned by Shasta Redi-Mix, was doing work in the area of Penrod Ave. just south of Christopher Ln.
He was trying to back up, but was unaware of a drop-off on the side of the road. The wheels went over the edge, and the driver was unable to gain control.
The fully loaded truck landed on its side.
The driver was uninjured aside from complaints of minor pain. He did not need medical attention.
Crews are working out how to get the truck upright again so it can be towed.
