Firefighters make headway on Bully Fire

ONO, Calif.l - As of Sunday night CAL FIRE said containment on the Bully Fire has improved to 76 percent.

The number of acres destroyed remains at 12,661.

There are now 1,670 personnel working to extinguish the fire, which firefighters continue to mop up and strengthen control lines. CAL FIRE officials said significant improvements are being made on all areas of the fire.

Fire suppression repair continues as well.

There have been 21 injuries and one reported fatality.

Investigators say the fire began by Freddie Smoke III on July 11 at 3:37 p.m.

They say Smoke was delivering fertilizer to an illegal marijuana grow when the truck's exhaust combined with dry grass, sparking the blaze.
