Military veterans fundraiser raises over $12k

REDDING, Calif. - Redding Yamaha Sea-Doo's 4th annual Iron Soldier's ride raised $12,090 for military veterans this year.

The motorsport and watersport company presented a check for the full $12,090 to Homeward Bound Military Family Support Services at a ceremony Wednesday evening.

"This will help us feed veterans at Thanksgiving and Christmas time," Homeward Bound Founder, Rob Burroughs said. "This helps us be able to help them through some difficult times."

Homeward Bound provides services to military families such as financial assistance, emergency food services, community events, and more.

The Iron Soldier's Ride took place on October 9th.

Event organizers say this is the most money they've raised since the event's inception four years ago.
