Redding Police Chief Rob Paoletti eyes Bay Area job

REDDING, Calif. - In a statement given to KRCR on Friday, Redding City Manager Kurt Starman said that Redding Police Chief Rob Paoletti is a candidate for another police chief position in the Bay Area.

The statement reads as follows:

"My understanding is that Chief Paoletti is a candidate for another Police Chief position in the San Francisco Bay Area. Chief Paoletti is still a City of Redding employee. He has not resigned, nor has he been terminated. My understanding is that he is simply exploring some other opportunities.

Chief Paoletti is a seasoned law enforcement professional with a tremendous amount of experience and expertise. I value and appreciate his service to our community. I wish him well wherever his career path may lead."

KRCR's reporters have reached out to Chief Paoletti and have not yet heard back as of the publication of this article.
