Redding Rancheria Clinic adds...

REDDING, Calif. - The Redding Rancheria clinic on Churn Creek Avenue is adding a new service.

Starting Thursday, a recovery center is available for any resident of Shasta County with Medi-Cal or partnership health plans.

The center provides outpatient recovery services, with the use of suboxone medication therapy, behavioral health therapy, and primary care medicine.

The director of the Redding Rancheria clinic, Glen Hayward, said the point is to help more than just the addiction.

"[Patients] will be assigned a behavioral health therapist, a nutritionist, a primary care doctor. Our goal here is to treat the whole patient. Typically people who are suffering from addiction have other issues that need to be addressed as well. We want to make this the one-stop shop to take care of them and their entire family," Hayward said.

The clinic added 70 patients for the recovery clinic in just the first day. Hayward said they hope to have 300 by the end of the year.

If you or someone you know is in need of recovery, call 530-768-2436 to schedule an appointment.
