REDDING, Calif. - The Sheraton Redding Hotel at the Sundial Bridge officially opens in less than two months with several positions still open.
Crews worked Monday on some of the final touches for the hotel but there was still plenty of work to get done.
During that time the company is looking to fill 60 to 80 open positions through a meet and greet event Tuesday.
Staff will be available to talk about all the opportunities with Sheraton. Sales and Catering Manager Debi Chimenti said both part-time and full-time positions are available including customer service, housekeeping and restaurant servers.
"Obviously if you have hotel experience that's always a plus, not that you have to. Really what we're looking for is really energetic customer service, happy, good attitude employees to make up our Sheraton team," said Chimenti.
Tuesday's event will take place at the Turtle Bay Museum, next door to the hotel from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Chimenti said those interested don't have to bring a resume but they will have to submit an official application online.
