State Capitol Christmas tree to be cut down Monday

WHITMORE, Calif. - Monday in Shasta County, crews will cut down California's official state Christmas tree.

The 65-foot white fir will be cut down at the Latour Demonstration State Forest. From there, it will be taken to the State Capitol in Sacramento Tuesday.

It will be decorated with hand-crafted ornaments from the California Department of Developmental Services.
