Update: New Details Emerge About Stabbing at Redding Starbucks

REDDING, Calif. - New details are emerging about a stabbing inside the Starbucks at Cypress Avenue and Churn Creek Road.

Redding realtor Samuel Yount, 37 of Redding, was stabbed inside the coffee shop Wednesday night just before 5 p.m..  Police arrested Travis Kuks, 19 of Redding, at the scene.

According to Redding Police, the two men know each other and had agreed to meet there.  Witnesses told police the two were talking, and then they started to argue.

Police said Kuks produced a knife and stabbed Yount in the abdomen, then tried to offer him aid before patrons told him to get away.

Yount was taken to Mercy Medical Center, where he underwent emergency surgery.  The Yount family said that he would recover from the injuries.

Yount also works as a realtor at Banner Real Estate in Redding.

Kuks is in Shasta County Jail, his bail is set at half a million dollars. He faces a charge of attempted murder.

Witnesses said Kuks was in a relationship with Yount's daughter.  The motive for the stabbing is still unknown.
