SHASTA COUNTY, Calif. - A marijuana deal in Shasta County ended with a man shot and the suspect on the loose.
The incident happened around 5:30 p.m. Saturday at 16182 Keswick Dam Road in Keswick, northwest of Redding.
Officers were dispatched to a reported shooting at the address. Brandon Siders, 23, and Nickole Herrington, 20, reported a man had shot at them, hitting Siders.
Before deputies arrived, Siders and Herrington went to Mercy Hospital so that Siders could be treated for a gun shot wound. The severity of his injuries were not released.
Detectives said the shooting happened during a marijuana transaction between Siders, Herrington and two other subjects identified as Jade Brewer, 24, and Richard Jones, 23. Jones has been identified as the shooting suspect in an apparent Robbery.
The Shasta County Sheriff's Office has issued a want for the arrest of Richard Jones for robbery and attempted murder. Jones could be in the Redding and Keswick area and appears to be transient at this time. Jones should be considered Armed and Dangerous.
Brewer has been arrested for robbery and was booked into the Shasta County Jail.

Richard Jones is described as 23-years-old, white, 6'1", 140 lbs, brown hair, blue eyes, tattoo of "Respect" on left lower arm.
