Skeletal remains found in Trinity County may be a missing man from Eureka.   Raymond Anderson, 63, was last seen in Redding on May 23.

He was expected in Eureka later that day but never showed.

On Tuesday July 9, a Caltrans worker found Anderson's car in Trinity County, down a steep embankment off Highway 299 in thick underbrush.

Skeletal remains were found near the vehicle

Investigators say there is a strong likelihood the remains belong to Raymond Anderson.  Tests will be conducted to confirm the identity.  His family has been notified of the discovery.
