AB 109 offender accused of rape

RED BLUFF, Calif. - Red Bluff Police said a 38-year-old AB 109 offender was arrested for allegedly raping a teen.

Police said they arrested Troy Gannon on Friday.

They said they were contacted by friends of a 17-year-old girl claiming she had been raped.

During the investigation the 17-year-old victim told police she was raped in a Red Bluff motel room by Gannon.

Police said Gannon was released from a California state prison in May 2014 and placed on active Post Release Community Supervision in Tehama County.

Gannon was arrested for rape and sodomy. He was booked in the Tehama County Jail with $150,000 bail.
