Woman found dead on railroad tracks in Red Bluff

RED BLUFF, Calif. - Red Bluff police are looking for information after they said a woman was found dead on the railroad tracks Wednesday night.

It happened around 9:30 p.m. on South Main Street at the railroad overcrossing. Police said they were called by Union Pacific Railroad Dispatch after one of their trains hit a pedestrian in the area. When officers got there, they found a woman dead on the tracks.

Police said the identity of the woman is not known at this time.
