REDDING, Calif. -

A jury has found two men guilty of first degree murder after stabbing and killing a Redding man at the Hilltop Lodge in December of 2011.

Kevin Lemmon and William Freed were convicted on murder, robbery, burglary charges on Wednesday.

A third man, Kenneth Matthews, was also involved. He pleaded guilty in March to voluntary manslaughter and burglary in exchange for his testimony.

Steven Johnson was the man who was killed. The trio was trying to get items that belonged to Johnson's ex-girlfriend, who was dating Lemmon when the murder happened.

Freed and Matthews were arrested just a few hours later.

Lemmon was arrested soon after in Red Bluff following a standoff with police that lasted for an hour.

Lemmon and Freed will be sentenced in August.
