REDDING, Calif. -

A man reported missing has been found safe in Vallejo.  Alford Bearden, 77 of Weed, was last seen Monday night on Interstate 5 near Dunsmuir.  He was headed to Vallejo to a relative's home, but he didn't know the exact address and became lost when he reached Vallejo.

His daughter said he parked his car and waited for someone to find him.  Finally, after waiting two days, he went to the Vallejo Police Department Thursday morning just before 9 a.m..  Officers told him they'd been looking for him.

The Shasta County Sheriff's Office issued a news release Wednesday evening, asking for the public's help locating Bearden.   They considered him an at-risk individual due to his age and medical condition.

His daughter said Bearden is being treated for dehydration but is in good condition.
