COTTONWOOD, Calif. -

A vegetation fire briefly closed part of Gas Point Road Friday morning in the Cottonwood area.

The fire was reported around 9:45 a.m. Friday.  It burned approximately 10 acres before being controlled at  10:05 a.m.

The fire did not threaten structures.

CAL FIRE said it's the third fire in the area in less than 12 hours.  Overnight firefighters responded to a four acre fire and three acre fire, both in the area of Happy Valley and Majestic View Drive.

Gas Point Road was briefly closed between West Anderson Road and Happy Valley Road.
