The acreage has surpassed the size of last year's deadly Clover Fire, which burned 8,073 acres and destroyed 68 homes in the Happy Valley area. One man was killed after he did not evacuate.
Zane Peterson was arrested for starting the Clover Fire.
Freddy Smoke III was arrested Saturday for starting the Bully Fire. Investigators said he sparked the blaze by driving a truck over dry brush while delivering fertilizer to an illegal marijuana grow.
