A three acre fire south of Wayland and Neal Roads in Paradise that threatened multiple structures was contained around 4:00 p.m. according to the Paradise town clerk.

A press release issued Monday at 3:39 p.m. stated that Wayland Road was closed at Foster and Neal. Limited evacuations were in place and aircraft are still monitoring the scene.

The public is asked to avoid the area.

Two helicopters, two tankers and bulldozer and hand crews assisted in containing the fire.

No one was injured and no homes were destroyed.
