Red Bluff fire on Peach Tree Lane destroyed two homes, two outbuildings
A home on Peach Tree Lane in Red Bluff caught fire on Monday around 2 p.m., destroying two homes, two outbuildings and burning about one-fourth of an acre of vegetation. According to the California Dept. of Forestry and Fire Protection, the fire caused $200,000 in damage.
One woman, the wife of William Carlton of Red Bluff, escaped the house that caused the fire, along with two dogs inside of the home. The cause of the fire was electrical in nature.
Both CAL FIRE and Red Bluff Fire Dept. responded with several trucks and water tenders.
According to PG&E, there are 11 customers in the area of Peach Tree Lane affected by a power outage. PG&E would not confirm whether the structure fire had caused the power outage.
