Man Accused of Trading Pot For Sex With Teenage Girl

PARADISE, Calif. - A Paradise man is accused of exchanging marijuana for sex with a teenage girl.

Police said they learned last month that Adam Muellers, 23, was exchanging pot for sexual favors with a young girl.

After a six-week investigation, officers served a search warrant at Muellers' home Tuesday.

They found 74 marijuana plants including 62 plants in an outdoor shed and 12 in an outdoor grow.  They also recovered computers, cell phones and tablets.

Paradise Police said they believe Muellers was using social media and text messages to contact the teenage girl and set up meetings where sexual favors were exchanged for marijuana.

He was arrested on a series of drug charges including furnishing a minor with marijuana.  Police believe there may be other victims.

Police warn parents of school-age children that social media sites are often used for purposes other than originally intended, including criminal activity.
