Man arrested for slashing tires on four cars

CHICO, Calif. - Chico Police were busy early Monday responding to several Labor Day disturbances.

Officers arrested a suspect around 3 a.m. Monday after they said he slashed the tires on at least four vehicles on Cherry Street.

Firefighters also responded to a couch fire early Monday.

Chico Police Chief Kirk Trostle reminded students at the start of the school year that the department is enforcing a one and done policy.  Officers will break up any house party if there is a single act of violence.
