Marijuana growing operation shut down in Shasta County

REDDING, Calif. - More than 600 marijuana plants were eradicated in a raid in Ono.

Agents raided the rural property on Yolla Bolly early Tuesday morning.

Investigators say they found three large greenhouses there along with several tents and outbuildings and 633 marijuana plants.

Two men, Thavone Phaysamone, 38, and Albert Samuel Venegas Jr, 26, both of Fresno, were arrested and booked into the Shasta County Jail.

They were also cited for several code violations including illegal grading done at the property.
