Marijuana processing causes fire that destroyed a trailer

CHICO, Calif. - An explosion and flames destroyed a small recreational travel trailer in Thursday.   Investigators said it was caused by someone processing marijuana.

Chico Fire Marshal Mort Myers told KRCR that an employee admitted to processing marijuana inside the RV.  The canisters' butane flames caused the fire.

It happened just after 1 p.m. at a storage area on , about a mile from the on the city's north side.

The trailer went up in flames on the property where a moving company stores its trucks.

Chico Fire Department extinguished the flames quickly.

Two other vehicles were also damaged.
