RED BLUFF, Calif. - Once again Red Bluff is welcoming the the 15th annual Monster Truck Nationals at the Tehama District Fairgrounds this weekend from Oct. 5-7.
Gates open at 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday with racing and events starting at 8 p.m.
Sunday gates will open at noon and racing begins at 2 p.m. Friday night is Toy Truck Night, with all children 12 years old and younger receiving a toy monster truck courtesy of Lassen Medical Group.
Former construction engineers and 29-year-old twin brothers Tyler and Travis Groth, from Washington state will be competing in the monster truck show. They call their trucks, "Double Trouble" and "Captain USA." The Groth brothers said that it cost them about $200,000 a piece to buy the trucks when they decided to quit their engineering jobs to race monster trucks. Now, the brothers travel all over the West Coast to drive them.
