PARADISE, Calif. - There is a slight chance that Paradise's season opening football game against American Canyon High School in Napa will be moved to the Ridge following Sunday's 6.0 magnitude earthquake that struck the Napa area.
"[The American Canyon High school's] maintenance and school district are assessing the facilities to make sure everything is safe and to make sure nothing is damaged," said Paradise Athletic Director Arron DeGracia. "She's 99 percent sure that we'll play on Friday [in Napa]."
American Canyon High School was recently built and saw no significant damage due to the earthquake.
"The stadium is amazing, almost collegiate level," said Paradise Head Coach Rick Prniz. "They built the school in 2010, so it's a very new school."
DeGracia said he'll know for certain of the game's location Tuesday morning.
