Forever Cheese has issued a recall of one production lot of its Ricotta Salata Frescolina brand products due to possible contamination. Here are other notable food recalls that made headlines.

Pork sausage -- The U.S. Food Safety and Inspection Service announced on February 21 that packaged meat company Smithfield Packing Company is recalling some 38,000 pounds of pork sausage because it may contain small pieces of plastic, likely from gloves.
