PG&E working to restore power near downtown Chico

CHICO, Calif. - A power outage Monday morning near downtown Chico left 91 customers without electricity.

Power went out just after 8 a.m..  A PG&E representative said it was caused by a damaged underground cable at East 4th and Wall Streets.

Power to more than half of the customers was restored just after 10 a.m.

PG&E crews were still working to restore power to the remaining 42 customers.  They estimated those customers would have power back by 7 p.m.
