Red Bluff Man Sentenced for Child Abuse Death

RED BLUFF, Calif. - A Red Bluff man is headed to prison after a conviction for child abuse resulting in death.

Daniel Llamas was sentenced to 10 years in prison in the September 2012 death of his fiance's 13-month-old son, David Di Dio.

Police say Llamas and the boy's mother, Isabelle Rios, took the infant to the hospital because he wasn't breathing.

The boy's death was considered suspicious.

Police started an investigation and arrested Llamas and Rios 8 months later.

Rios is scheduled to be back in court next month.
