Redding represented in Brazilian jiu-jitsu world tournament

REDDING, Calif. - It is USA versus the world on the mat. A Brazilian jiu-jitsu competition is being held in Brazil and Redding is represented.

Black-belt fighter Tanner Rice will be matching up against the world's best March 10.

The 21-year-old is an instructor at Amazonas Rice Brothers Jiu Jitsu in Redding. He is in Rio de Janeiro getting ready for an event known as the Copa Podio. It is one of the most prestigious tournaments in the host country.

Rice is one of three Americans competing.
