Reward offered for information on Keswick hate crime

KESWICK, Calif. - A reward of up to $1,000 is offered for information about a hate crime in Shasta County.

On July 16 at 10:45 p.m. Someone cut the gas line to a 500 gallon propane tank at a home on Bush Street in Keswick.  The leak caused the area to be evacuated.

The victims' vehicle was also vandalized and homosexual slurs were scratched into the paint.  Investigators said the victims were targeted because of their sexual orientation.

The Shasta County Sheriff's Office is seeking information that will lead to the arrest and/or conviction of the persons responsible.
