The Cleveland Browns cut quarterback Vince Young on Monday.

Young recently signed a one-year, $730,000 contract with no guaranteed money. The team released him four days after drafting quarterback Johnny Manziel with the No. 22 overall pick.

Cleveland also cut defensive back Brandon Hughes, defensive lineman Brian Sanford, quarterback Alex Tanney and running back Fozzy Whitaker.

Young, the No. 3 overall pick in the 2006 draft, has not played in the NFL since 2011. He spent the past two offseasons working out for the Buffalo Bills and Green Bay Packers, but was unable to land a deal.

A two-time Pro Bowler with the Tennessee Titans in 2006 and '09, Young last played with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2011 as a backup to Michael Vick.

Young made 50 starts from 2006-11. He completed 57.9 percent of his passes, throwing for 8,964 yards with 46 touchdowns and 51 interceptions. He is also 31-19 as a starter.
