Sprinkler malfunction closes Burger King

CHICO, Calif. - A malfunctioning sprinkler caused a flood that forced a Burger King to close early Tuesday night.

Firefighters responded to a reported structure fire just before 8:00 p.m.

When they arrived, they discovered there was no fire. A fire sprinkler had gone off, flooding the East Avenue restaurant.

The restaurant's owner says he hopes to reopen Wednesday morning.
