Stolen firefighting equipment recovered

CHICO, Calif. - The items stolen from the Butte County volunteer fire station have been recovered. 

Deputies responded to the Almond Orchard Shopping center on Pillsbury Road in Chico just after 7 a.m. Thursday.

A custodian was cleaning when he discovered the stolen generator, TV, and chainsaw behind Round Table Pizza.

The items had been taken Monday during a burglary at Butte Volunteer Fire Station 25 near Butte College.

Officials said everything of the greatest value was found, but there are still some missing power and hand tools.

The suspects were captured on video and the images have been shared on KRCR News Channel 7 and on social media.  Investigators said they have received many tips from the public about the identity of the suspects.  The investigation is ongoing.
