BUTTE COUNTY - A car was found submerged and upside down in a Butte County canal.

Officials with CAL FIRE said the folks inside escaped on their own.

However, a little terrier mix named "Nuggie" was still inside.

Officials say rescuer, Joshpae White jumped in the water and got the little dog out.
