Two Redding streets closed for accident investigations

REDDING, Calif. - Two different intersections in Redding  will be closed Tuesday morning for crash investigations.     

South Bonnyview Road will be closed at Indianwood from 8:45 - 10 a.m. Tuesday.  Police will be doing a more detailed investigation into Friday's rollover crash involving a Suburban driven by 66 year old Angell Randall and a Toyota driven by 56-year old Thomas Meissner."

Police will also close Gold Street at Court Street from 10-11 a.m.  They will be investigating Friday night's hit and run crash in which 16-year-old Mark Vargas was hit while riding his skateboard.

Vargas was declared brain dead.  His mother tells KRCR News Channel 7 his organs will be donated Tuesday.

The car involved in the collision was recovered Sunday.  The District Attorney's Office is reviewing the case and considering possible charges.
